This course is designed to provide students with a basic understanding of mild to moderate injuries. This course focuses on the definition and diversity of characteristics (including perceptual, cognitive, linguistic, academic, and social/emotional characteristics) of individuals with mild to moderate disabilities, and past and present educational and legal issues relevant to these individuals. Required field experience in various work assignments – 6 field hours.
