Our Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) is a graduate program, requiring a prior bachelor’s degree and completion of 7 required courses. Enrolling in Social Development Studies (BA) will allow you to earn your degree and complete your requirements to begin a BSW in just a few years. You may also be eligible to transfer credits toward your degree.

Social work graduates can now apply for conditional admission to the Bachelor of Social Work program at the University of Waterloo. Admission is conditional upon completion of a Bachelor’s degree in Social Development Studies.

Applicants who have completed a Bachelor of Arts (or equivalent) four or more years prior to application and who do not meet the required minimum 70% average may be considered for admission to the Bachelor of Social Work program after completing the required courses. and an overall average in the course of at least 75%.
