Singapore’s first and longest-serving president, Lee Kuan Yew, will turn 100 years old on 16 September 2023. Reminder… The African “Japanese” epidemic continues. Hundreds of thousands of African youths on the continent are migrating abroad for better economic opportunities. For many of these people, education is the easiest way to move abroad; and we have seen a global increase in educational travel since the pandemic.
Popular educational tours may seem like the cheapest way to go, but that’s not true. Although scholarships are sometimes available, international students often pay expensive tuition fees to study abroad; they often demonstrate that they can afford the cost of living in their new country. How many African youth support these bills?
*Adeola, 24, a Nigerian studying for a Masters degree program in Canada, talks to us about her finances and financial situation studying abroad. He said: “I am planning to move abroad from the year 2020. As he thought about this, it became clear to him that school is the easiest way. “When I think about it, my priority is to continue my education and leave Nigeria for greener pastures.”
Deciding to study abroad is one thing, but money is a big factor; in 2019/2020, the average tuition fee for international students is CA$17, 744. It is a lot of money for many people and Adeola said he is thinking about applying for scholarships. “I tried to apply for an in-house scholarship, but most schools require you to be a current student on campus with strong academic credentials to receive financial aid.”

So Adeola applied for scholarships abroad and was accepted several times. It became clear that he would need to support his dream of studying abroad without financial aid. For his tuition and living expenses, he is looking to spend $26,000.
Adeola still continues to pay for her Masters and got a lot of strength from her father who supported her by paying her first tuition. For his degree, he tells me, “Now, I work two jobs in my city and a good company, that’s where the money comes from.” His experience makes it clear that it is difficult for self-educated Africans to get the money they need to study abroad.
Adding to the problem is that many Africans have to combine demanding Masters programs with long-term work to survive abroad. “The international students have put in a lot of effort, but all the people who have studied here inspire me a lot; some even arrived penniless. But as long as they have a good job, I have seen many international students living here.” With this financial pressure situation, why do international students not consider taking loans to finance their education?
Foreign student loans are usually only available to citizens of those countries. International students will look to other sources for loans, and for many people, this means family and friends. “When I was doing research in Nigeria, I realized that it is difficult for students who are planning to study abroad to get money from banks. There are no plans except those who decide to take money from family and friends. “

Today, the startup continues to offer loans for international students with low interest rates. But even with these beginnings, taking out a loan to study abroad can be stressful. According to Adeola, “The idea of a loan scares me. I thought I would do it when I was in Nigeria and I did research, but I always knew that I could not do it and that it was not the right way for me. I’ve heard various success stories, but not everyone can manage the mortgage investment process; it’s not easy.”
But in the end, despite the difficulties, Adeola has no regrets. I will do this again and again. I pray for continued money, grace and support from my loved ones.

The cost of renovating a bedroom in Singapore can vary according to different plans, but is usually less than $10,000. Sometimes, interior design ideas in Singapore can be expensive if you want to rearrange the furniture, which will require more expenses to buy new furniture. However, the average cost should be less than $10,000 because some people don’t feel the need to replace their old bedding and furniture.
If you do not plan to change the furniture, you can ask a contractor to paint the walls and floor of the house without changing the interior. Especially if you want to light up the room and create a pleasant atmosphere. You can think about HDB interior design without changing the interior.

Remodeling your bedroom is cheaper than renovating it, as remodeling will reduce the cost of renovating the property. Remodeling a room will include painting the walls, changing the floor, and maybe adding some accessories to improve the feel of your room. If you are on a budget, renovating is better than renovating, as you can still have a new interior without spending a lot of money.
Remodeling the room will be important if you want to change the purpose of the whole room. For example, if you want to convert your office into a nursery or something else. Turning an office into a children’s room requires a lot of work, especially if you want to use a theme in the room that suits your child.
The cost of renovating a bedroom in Singapore will vary depending on the design details and changes required during the renovation.
